November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month: Talk to Your Loved Ones About Lung Cancer Screening! 

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death in California and the US, with more people dying of lung cancer than those that die from colon cancer, breast cancer, and prostate cancer combined.  But lung cancer screening can help change this!  Many people who smoke now or used to smoke have the opportunity to get screened for lung cancer. Lung cancer screening with an annual low-dose CT is quick and painless and can catch lung cancer early, when treatment is more likely to be successful. A lot of people don’t know about lung cancer screening. Help a loved one who may be at higher risk by sharing with them that lung cancer screening is available, or talk to a doctor if you think you may be eligible. Learn more and spread the word: lung cancer screening saves lives!
